Product reviews
Customers can leave a star rating and review on your storefront product pages. Reviews don't appear automatically — you approve them first, from Customers → Reviews in the admin.
The moderation queue
New reviews arrive Pending and stay hidden from your storefront until you approve them — so nothing reaches shoppers without your say-so. The list filters by Pending, Published, Hidden, Rejected, or All.
For each review you can:
- Approve — publishes it to the product page.
- Reject — keeps it hidden.
You can also hide or show a review you've already decided on, if you change your mind later.
Verified-purchase badge
A review shows a verified purchase badge when the reviewer's email matches an order in your store. It's a badge, not a gate — anyone can submit a review; the badge just tells shoppers which ones came from confirmed buyers.
Star ratings on the storefront
Approved reviews roll up into a star average and review count on the product, which your storefront shows on listings and the product page. Pending and rejected reviews don't count toward it, and hiding a published review takes it out of the roll-up until you show it again.
Who can do this
Anyone on your team can open the reviews queue and read it. The approve, reject, hide, and show buttons appear for Owners and Admins, and for Staff granted the Reviews permission group — once granted, the moderation buttons unlock for them.
