Team & permissions
Bring teammates into your store and control exactly what each can do. Manage everyone under Settings → Team.
Invite a teammate
Choose Invite, enter the person's email (and optionally their name), and pick a role. For a Staff member you can also pick a permission preset to grant access up front. They'll receive an invitation to join.
Roles
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and ownership. |
| Admin | Everything except owner-only actions. |
| Staff | A limited account — access is granted through permissions. |
Permissions: presets and groups
Staff start with read access and gain abilities through permission groups — named areas like Catalog, Pricing and discounts, Orders and fulfillment, Inventory, Returns, Settings, and Team. Some are marked High risk (pricing, settings, team, and the like).
The quickest way to grant access is a preset — a ready-made bundle such as Catalog and content, Fulfillment and inventory, Customer support, or Reports viewer. You can also tick individual groups on a member's row, and mix a preset with extra groups.
A couple of rules keep this safe: you can only grant groups you hold yourself, you can't edit your own access, and an Admin can't edit the Owner.
Granting a permission group takes effect for that teammate right away. Where a permission group covers an admin area, that area's write controls unlock for the teammates who hold it, and everything else stays read-only for them. A few owner-level shortcuts stay limited to Owners and Admins.
Who can do this
Owners and Admins manage the team. A Staff member granted the Team permission group can manage other Staff (within the rules above).
